Lea Cheen, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice in New York City. She holds a Master of Social Work from Florida State University and is pursuing post-graduate study in psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center. She also completed four years of advanced post-graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and child and adolescent psychotherapy. 

Lea sees adults and adolescents in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. She has a diverse clientele and treats a broad range of issues, in particular those around depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, sexuality, grief & loss, self-esteem, and personal & professional growth.  

Lea specializes in helping individuals explore and understand the underlying psychological forces that influence their emotions and behaviors.
